Stage One: Cabanon.
A small away house for an artist/barister in Dungeness. By seperating the clients activities into work and play, i created a house split into two plains, the top floor consisted of his bedroom, bathroom and study, which had a small window over looking a mirror across the stairwell for him to practice mitigation for work. The floating stairs slid in and out of the building giving greater seperation and space efficency. The ground floor consited of his studio with large windows for large mounts of light and his kitchen/living area, which were seperated by a sliding wall. The house was to be cpnstructed from old containers, fitting into the industrial context of dungeness and the tradition there of holiday homes from recycled train carriages.
